Archery is a fun sport for people of all ages and abilities. Getting into the sport is so easy and starts here! Whether you want to shoot for fun, enter club, county or out of county competitions, our course will set you up for whatever you want to do, and it’s a great way to meet new people and new friends.
Our course is run by 3-4 Archery GB qualified coaches, and occasional trainee coaches and all experienced archers. All coaches have been DBS checked. There is no need to worry about equipment, Kettering Archers will supply all you need for archery, equipment for the course, a handout booklet free of charge, including tea, coffee and biscuits!
While anyone is welcome to attend, but children under the age of sixteen must be accompanied by an appropriate adult.
The main topics of the course are:-
- Shooting Etiquette
- Draw, Aim and loose (release the arrow) the bow
- Bow Assembly
Upon successful completion of the course you will receive a certificate, all yours to keep, and a voucher to come along and shoot with us on a Friday evening or Sunday morning.
The cost of the course is £30 and is 2 x 3 hour sessions, usually on a Saturday morning between 10.30 – 13.30 at St. Edwards Church.
Please note there is no parking at St. Edwards Chuch.

Kettering archers are holding a have-a-go session on Monday 13th August at 7pm at the Cricket club just off Lake Avenue. Everyone is welcome and for a small fee of £2.50 you can try archery for an evening. Everyone is welcome, so come along and have some fun.
